Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) is a public technical and research university in Jammu, India. Founded in 2016, it is one of the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology in India and is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various engineering, science, and humanities disciplines. IIT Jammu is in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is spread over an area of 600 hectares. The campus is designed to accommodate 25,000 students.

Academics
IIT Jammu has eight academic departments – Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Humanities & Social Sciences. The institute also has an Institute Innovation Cell, which promotes innovation and technology transfer. Indian Institute of Technology Jammu also has various research centers and laboratories like the Centre for Research in Advanced Technologies (CRAT), Centre for Research in Embedded Systems (CRES), Centre for Research in Artificial Intelligence (CRAI), Centre for Research in Robotics and Automation (CRRA), and Centre for Research in Nanotechnology (CRN)
Campus
IIT Jammu campus is spread across 600 hectares and is located in the Samba district of Jammu, India. The institute has a modern and well-planned infrastructure with all the necessary amenities and facilities.
- The campus consists of academic buildings, research laboratories, a library, a computer center, a canteen, a cafeteria, a sports complex, student hostels, residential quarters for staff and faculty, and other facilities.
- The academic buildings include lecture halls, seminar halls, and laboratories for conducting practical classes. The research laboratories have advanced equipment and technology for research and development activities.
- The library of IIT Jammu contains more than 30,000 books and journals, as well as a digital library with access to various online resources. The computer center provides access to the internet and other computing facilities. The student hostels are spacious and well-furnished, and the staff and faculty quarters are nearby. - JEE Main registration 2023 for session 2 is now open. The last date to apply for the JEE Main session 2 is Mar 14.
- JEE Advanced 2023 exam will be held on Jun 4, 2023, in CBT mode only. JEE advanced registrations will begin on Apr 30, 2023.
