India’s team will be boosted by the return of key players like skipper Rohit Sharma, former captain Virat Kohli, and vice-captain KL Rahul, who all skipped the three-match T20I series against New Zealand. However, there are concerns over injuries with Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer both ruled out. KS Bharat will be India’s WicketKeeper in the first Test, while Suryakumary Yadav will replace Iyer to make his debut in Test. The Nagpur pitch has been a hot topic of discussion ahead of the game, expected to produce spin early on.
Rohit Sharma will be pleased with the availability of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who will make his return to international cricket since last year’s Asia Cup.
