What the dispute is about?

An organization called Shraddha Unmulan Samiti, led by Shyam Manav in Maharashtra has accused Dhirendra Shastri of promoting superstition. They challenged him to demonstrate his supposed miracles on a stage in Nagpur and offered a reward of 30 lakh rupees if he succeeded. However, Dhirendra Shastri allegedly refused the challenge and fled the scene, leading some to believe he was afraid to prove his claims.

What has Dhirendra Shastri to say about this debate?

Dhirendra Shastri claims that his miracles can be performed within a week. He also stated that he accepts the challenge posed by the  Shraddha Unmulan Samiti, and welcomes anyone who wants to witness the miracle to come to Bageshwar court. He also invited Shyam Manav, the leader of the organization, to come to Raipur and offered to pay for his travel expenses.

In Garha, near Chhatarpur, there is a place called Bageshwar Dham which houses a temple of Balaji Hanumanji. The temple of Mahadevji is located in front of the temple of Hanuman. Additionally, there is the tomb of dada ji guru ji located near the temple. The temple is particularly active on Tuesdays, where people tie a coconut wrapped in red cloth, state their wish, and tie the coconut in a designated area while reciting the name of Ram and completing 21 circumambulations of the temple. It is common to see numerous coconuts tied in this manner at the temple.

Pandit Dhirendra Shastri’s background

Pandit Dhirendra Shastri was born on July 4, 1996, in Gada village, located in the Chhatarpur district. He spent his childhood in this village and comes from a poor family. His father’s name is Ram Karpal Garg, his mother’s name is Saroj Garg and his grandfather, Bhagwan Das Garg, was a well-educated individual who was connected to Nirmohi Akhara. Pandit Dhirendra Shastri regards his grandfather as his guru, who taught him the study of Ramayana and Bhagwat Geeta. At the age of nine, he began serving Balaji and followed the teachings of his gurus diligently.
